Grateful (:

This weekend was GREAT! In the church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints every six months there is a meeting called General Conference. This is a time that everyone comes together and listens to our living prophet and his apostles. It is a great time to feel the spirit and to receive revelation (answers to questions you may have) from the Lord.

So much can be learned from watching this and it is amazing to feel the spirit so strong in one place. I have to say that this weekend was one of the best General Conferences of my life (other then last Octobers of course). The talks seriously were just what I needed to hear and gave me so much comfort.

As time gets closer for me to leave I am getting more and more scared, I start to let doubt enter in and I feel unqualified for the journey I am about to start on. Every time this feeling comes into play, the Lord soon counteracts it with a message from someone or something to make me feel like I can do it. One of the most meaningful things that I stumbled across is a saying that states,

"God does not call the qualified, He qualifies the called"

When I see this saying or hear the prophets and apostles speak about missionary work I feel that I can do it, I KNOW that I can do it. It will be challenging, but it will be so worth it. I invite all to watch conference. It will bring you happiness and joy beyond belief. If you don't believe me then try for yourself. You will not be disappointed at all.

Here at this link you will find all of the recordings of General Conference. I recommend watching Sunday Afternoon session by Elder Jeffrey R Holland or Sunday morning by Elder L. Tom Perry. All of them are worth watching though so watch whatever one looks good to you! (: 

I know that this gospel is the true gospel of Jesus Christ. I know that because of the feeling I get when I read the Book of Mormon, when I watch General Conference, When I attend the Temple and when I share the gospel with others. I am truly blessed to be a member of this church and have the knowledge that our Redeemer Jesus Christ lives and loves us. You too can come to the knowledge of this by acting. Invite the missionaries into your home and listen to the message they have for you. If you try with true intent pray to know he will make it known unto you and your life will forever be blessed!
